A few less exclamation marks and question marks would have done. Caps Lock is not necessary either. Looks like someone is shouting. ;)
In general it won't hurt if you use the cloned VM as Staging/Test System without changing its Server ID. But it is recommended by Atlassian.

Changing Server ID for Test Installations
It is important to acquire a new ID through a new, temporary installed instance of JIRA. Then follow the steps with the SQL commands.
