BurnDown Chart

fadz March 4, 2024

Good day experts!

Seeking assistance on BurnDownChart. I recently changed some JIRA Workflow which affected 1 or 2 tickets due to status change. When I view my chart via Jira Reports, it looks like this https://ibb.co/2K8LkV6

Now When I viewed it via my personal dashboard using Jira widget it looks like this which is more accurate. https://ibb.co/b7ypSQ5

I have no idea what to check hear so any suggestions is very much appreciated,

Sorted it out! basically, whenever you add a new status in the workflow, it needs to be added in the board columns! that I didn't know!.

Hi @fadz

This seems different, but the timeframes differ.

The report uses the start date of the sprint till "today" and the dashboard gadget uses the full time frame of the sprint.

i see. noted on the date. my question was more on the lines itself (sorry for not emphasizing it in my question above) our sprint is still on going and just started last week. we only closed 21 story points.. https://ibb.co/4mYdMFc

if I have 1 ticket that has e.g. 25 points. if I change it to In Progress then Done, then put back to in progress, would that affect the burndown chart? a ticket with that points got changed during the work flow implementation but when i corrected the ticket status, the chart never recovered. is it normal? or is there a chnage I need to do so that the points will reflect in the chart?

thank you for the initial feedback! appreciate it :)
