Adding approvers based on multiple cascading custom field selection

Good day

We have a cascading custom field where user's can select more than one option, each option with its own set of approvers. We want to be able to have each approver added when those options are selected.

For example: if someone is logging a request for access to finance and marketing, Jon Doe will have to be allocated for finance and Jane Duo for Marketing, and so on but if just for Marketing then only Jane Duo is added for approval.

Currently if Marketing and finance are selected, only Marketing's approver is added, how can I have all approvers added without having to use external addons like scritptrunner?

You will need one of the automation or scripting apps to do this.  Jira does not have functions like that in it.

I know its probably a "No" question that am asking but, one cant say set a post function on the workflow and add rules?

Yes, you can, but the nature of what you are trying to do is not provided by any off-the-shelf post-functions, hence the need for an automation or scripting app to provide it.
