Hello,
we would like to automatically generate release notes for our bugs and features. We only need to mention fix/impact/testing sections as simple and short as possible. Is there a way to do this in Jira? kindly advise how to do this? I looked at prior responses, yet they all mention about a particular sprint. We would like to do this automatically every 2 weeks rather than a sprint.
thanks in advance
Hi @Ayse Arslan ,
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1223567/automated-release-notes-for-jira-free?hosting=cloud&tab=overview is a great tool that you can try for automated release notes. Since this is the free edition you need to manually trigger the notes creation, but other than that the Release note's come out well formatted and can be exported to your confluence sites too.
You can always ask the team for a demo and see if the tool suits your needs or not, the 30 Day trial is free and if you feel it isn't what you're looking for you can remove it from your site within the 30 Day period too then.
Thank you for the shout out @Jehan Bhathena
@Ayse Arslan please feel free to reach out to our team & book a demo, if you'd like.
Best,
Anand

thank you so much, yet I could not see the link for scheduling, it only provides support link and resources. Shall I request demo through support link?

Hi @Ayse Arslan
This is not possible ootb, this would require and app from the marketplace to fulfil your need.
See examples here

Hi @Ayse Arslan
For trail purposes, Yes, but I would read the privacy and security related details.
This if the app stores any data outside Atlassian and where it is stored and security, this if your company has any GDPR related policy that doesn't allow to have data stored in specific locations, etc.
