issueLinkType with specific issueType

prabu m January 10, 2023

Our Workflow: Create a test case in Jira and link all the bugs related to the test cases.

My goal:  list out all the test cases that have open bugs associated with them.

My JQL Query:

Project = "QA" and issuetype = "Test Case" and issueLinkType in ("Test case relates to")

Actual output for the above JQL:

It lists all test cases, regardless of issuetype; some test cases are associated with only the bug, others with only the task and still others with both (the bug and the task).

Could anyone help me how to list out the test case with associated only the Bug.

Hi @prabu m

I’m Maurício, a support engineer at Digital Toucan and I’m here to help you.

Unfortunately, using only JQL of Jira, you’ll not be able to do it.

In the app where my team works, JQL Search Extensions for Jira, you can use this query to find Test case that has a link type “relates to” to open bugs.

issue in linkedIssuesOfQuery("type = bug and status = open and linkType = 'relates to'") and type = "Test Case" and Project = "QA"

Please contact our support if you have any other questions about this query.

We’ll be happy to help you!
Best regards,
Maurício
