Ive setup my 1st jsm. And the default board has a list of issues with a status dropdown for each issue - rather than the classic canban type board of a column for each status and you drag and drop the issues across the columns as status change.
im sure im missing something simple - but i couldnt figure out how to change board from status dropdown to drag & drop canban - thanks for help
In JSM we have concept queues, the project doesn't have kanban board in it. And it doesn't make a point to have the kanban kind of board in support projects.
In case if you want to view the tickets in kanban board you have to create a Board. While creating the board select "Board for existing project" and in the project drop-down you can provide the JSM Project. KB on creating boards https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/create-a-board/
And this Kanban board will be a different entity which will not be listed in the JSM project options.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Vishwas
