how to link a new ticket using automation

I have below items

1. Parent Ticket lets say ABC-1
2. Subtask to the parent - ABC-2
3. another ticket in diffrent project - XYZ-3

i have a automation rule which will check if the status of ABC-2 is changed to closed it will create a new ticket XYZ-3 (in this case) in a diffrent project, now i want XYZ-3 to be linked to ABC-1, i am able to link it to ABC-2 using JIRA automation but not to ABC-1

I'd like to know two things.

First, what is the issue type of ABC-1, ABC-2 and XYZ-3 ?

Second, can you show us a screenshot of your automation ?

I'd look at it and try to find the answer.
