can we used company managed project for asset tracking system ??????

Would like to see if it's possible to create a company managed project that does the following: 

1.Auto-creates a task for retrieval of equipment - this will allow us to better track devices were waiting on  

2.Would also like it if Jira can pull device information assigned to user from Asset Sonar into the task 

3.IT and HR will have access to view

As far as I understand, a company-managed project is not able to do asset tracking.

However, you may want to give AssetIT a try. It's a plug-in for Jira and provides many features that meet your needs. For example:

- Log time check-in, check-out assets, QR code generation, asset booking form, reservation list, loan list, etc.

- Easily assign/unassign assets in a Jira issue.

- Multiple settings and permissions, e.g. view only permission, edit permission, check-in/check-out permission, and are customizable upon each of the asset types.
