The users who created the issue are not able to update the details and mainly not having the option to add watchers which they were able to do before?

This issue persists for more than a week now even after clearing the cache and browser history.

Did you already have a look at your permission scheme?

There is a "manage watchers" permission, which has to be set to the user performing this action to be able to add or remove a watcher.

Hi @Anagha Narayanan , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.

Being able to manage watchers is a project permission.

Please can you check that the impacted users are enabled to the Manage Watchers permission?

Best wishes

Hi Valerie Knapp,

Thanks for the quick response. As this project is a team-managed one,I am not able to see the project permission to add watchers here. Can you help me with the navigation in Team-managed project settings?

Also the user is having access to the project and he/she was able to add watchers before.

TIA

Hi @Anagha Narayanan , thanks for the clarification.

I found this documentation which explains the project permissions in team-managed projects - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/next-gen-permissions/

You have to give the administrator role to anyone you want to be able to add or remove issue watchers.

I hope this helps you.

Cheers
