When cloning a request, it does not provide an option to also copy over the Form. Any solution?

When I am trying to clone a Request/Ticket in Jira Service Manager, it does not provide an option to copy any Forms as well. Neither it copies it over automatically.

I do get the option to copy over any links, but never for Forms.

Are there any workarounds for this issue?

Hi @Nirav Patel , currently, you are unable to negatively include the form when planning an issue. Here is an open suggestion for this feature and if you read the comments, there is a workaround that leverage is the API if you're up to the task.

The other option, and I'm sure you will see a lot of replies from partners on this, is to use a third-party solution.

Hi @Nirav Patel

Jira Service Management does not currently support cloning Forms when duplicating a request or ticket. However, a workaround is to use our app Deep Clone for Jira, which offers advanced cloning capabilities beyond Jira's standard features and can clone Jira Forms.

With Deep Clone, you can:

  • Clone issues along with comments, attachments, and various issue properties.
  • Bulk clone multiple issues, epics, or entire projects.
  • Automate cloning via workflows and post-functions.
