Elif Alverson November 4, 2022

Hello,

I am trying to figure out the differences between Standard Jira Service Management vs. Premium. It states in here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/explore-jira-cloud-plans/ are differences for the admin controls, however there is no explanation. What are the differences between Standard Jira Service Management Admin control vs. Premium? Thank you.

Hi @Elif Alverson

Here are some of the differences (at the time of writing this) between the Standard and Premium plans for JSM

  • Automation (global and multi-project)
    • Standard: 500 rules per month
    • Premium: 1000 rules per agent per month
  • Incident Management: Agents can escalate an incident to a major incident, smartly alerting the right service owner to help resolve the incident

    • Standard: Major Incidents per month = 100
    • Premium: Major Incidents per month = unlimited
  • Incident Creation: Automatically notify responders using templates, when an incident occurs.
    • Standard: Manual
    • Premium: Manual, automatic, API, and template
  • Post-mortems - A written record of an incident.

    • Standard: 5
    • Premium: Unlimited
  • Storage
    • Standard: 250 GB file storage
    • Premium: Unlimited
  • 3rd party integrations to keep Insight data up to date with different Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Mobile device and software management (JAMF, SCCM, Snow) Other CMDBs (ServiceNow, Device42)

    • Standard: Not Available and not on the roadmap
    • Premium: Not Available at the moment, but is on the roadmap (i.e coming soon)
  • Object related automations
    • Standard: Not Available
    • Premium: Available
  • File importers - bringing data into Insight from JSON and CSV files
    • Standard: Not Available
    • Premium: Available
  • IP allowlisting, Admin insightsSandbox FeaturesRelease Tracks
    • Standard: Not Available
    • Premium: Available

This isn't an exhaustive list. I'm sure there are more things.

Hope it helps,

Hamza

I'm sure there are other benefits, the ones which comes to mind are premium opens up Assets (ITAM / CMDB), addl'l site controls, and unlimited storage. Your acct also gets assigned to a different support team.
