as the title says, we can't run automation because of a very unclear error saying that the summary field is somehow incompatible, meanwhile, jira itself encourages us to fill it. my automation is pretty simple and straightforward

When you create this ticket manually, is the "Summary" field visible on the screen and does it also require you to fill in a value? Can you then actually create the ticket ?
Also, I see that you fill the custom field "Start Date" with the value {{issue.created}}. I'm wondering if that could create an issue since there is actually no ticket created yet. I would suggest to use the {{now}} smart value.
