Virus scanning of attachments for JSM forms

I understood Atlassian were working on this but have not had any updates.

This will be a very useful feature for keeping our systems safe.

@george_bullock -

As of today, the functionality is not available in the Cloud env.  Here is the enhancement ask case (still outstanding) at Atlassian -

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-73340  I would recommend you to add yourself as a watcher of this case.

It is my understanding that -

Atlassian does have a internal virus protection and it will stop the rendering of previews of affected files.  However, it still require end users to have local virus protection if they download affected attachments or even upload attachments (pre-scanned from the source) into your JSM env.

There are a few paid add-ons that provide the functionality that you are looking for in the Marketplace, so you can search for them to review -

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=Virus+Scan&product=jira-service-management&hosting=cloud

Hope this helps.

Best, Joseph Chung Yin
