Viewing/searching closed tickets?

Joseph Pawlicki May 25, 2022

Fundamental question, yet I'm unable to find answer.  How does one view and search thru closed tickets?  It appears that they're simply gone forever.  I don't want a report, summary, dashboard, etc.  I want to view and search thru actual tickets: e.g. "where was that ticket regarding server FOOBAR?"; "what was the solution we provided when Mary's system crashed?".

Apologies for being a newbie JSM user.

@Joseph Pawlicki -

Hi Joseph:

Welcome to the community.  You can simply conduct an Advanced issue search using JQL

1) Via the Search box or key in "/" keyboard command and select Advanced issue search option.

or

2) Via Filters >> Advanced issue search option

or

3) Create a custom queue setup or saved filter query for CLOSED issues.

Here is the documentation for search - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/use-basic-search-and-filters-to-quickly-find-requests-and-issues-in-jira/

Here is the documentation for queue setup - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/make-queues-for-your-team/

Hope this helps.
