Value property of Multiple user picker field is not working

After the Jira upgrade from 8.5.17 to 9.12.7, the same code used before to get the value of Multiple user picker field (textarea field) through value property of Javascript code in custom plugin is not working. Is any other alternative for fetching the value of this field?
