Is there a way to allow users to text/SMS their requests (versus email or portal) into a Service Management project?
There isn't any native capabilities in Jira at this time that would allow you to accept a SMS message and create a ticket from it. You could use a tool like Power Automate which has connectors to various SMS platforms that could trigger off of a message and then use the Jira connector or API to create your ticket.
Yes there is a way. There is a marketplace app called Omnichat for Jira Service Management which supports SMS and whatsapp and creates tickets in jsm Projects Good luck
