Translation in Language Support - is it safe to change language?

I want to translate my Service Desk from Swedish to English and then disable the Swedish language.

I am talking about adding a language, setting it as default, and then disabling the current language. Setting located in the project:

Project settings > Language support

  • Will doing this break any automation and/or queues (JQL filters)?
  • Do I need to translate automation rules that look for "Request type" titles or are these translated when I swap my default language?

  • What about queues and/or JQL filters?

The answer was Yes to all. I needed to make translations or manual edits across everything I asked in the OP.
