Hi, I have a linked and cloned issue in a Separate Project that I want to Transition when the parent issue Transitions.
MC7-19 is the parent, MDS-25 is a cloned copy
I am using this automation
I get this
Which indicates that nothing was updated
I agreed with what @John Funk stated. In automation rule, if the rule itself needs to touch issues from other projects, then the rule must be updated to include all the projects the rule involves. Therefore, it is consider as a Global rule.
Another thing that users typically forget is to ensure the WF transition is defined to support the issue movement from status to status.
Hope this also helps.
Best, Joseph Chung Yin

Hi @Andrew Bilsdon - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
On the Rule details page - have you identified by projects? Or is it a single project rule?

You will need to make it a multiple project rule and add the second project.
