I manage several projects. There are some that i watch closely, others I dont. Is there a way i can fully stop notifications coming my way when I am not watching the issue, the reporter, the assignee for the issue or when someone mentions me? Basically i get a tons of notifications for other updates made to tickets from a particualr project that I dont own/manage. I set my personal notifications for the ones described below only but I still get for random updates on the ticket. Help please!
What you need to do is to check each project's notification scheme configuration to determine why you are receiving default notifications from projects that you are not a part of.
In addition, you should also check on those projects' project role assignments to check if you are being called out. A lots of time, each project's notification scheme configuration may be calling out project role(s) for issue event notification too.
Hope this helps.

@Joseph Chung Yin thank you so much! I made various changes from the scheme of one of the projects. Hopefully should be cleaner now. Thanks again!

On those issues (where you are still receiving notifications), you need to verify the project notification scheme setup again + making sure that you are not added as Requested Participants in those issues.
