Hoping this feature is available - can you enable the timeline view on a support project? I can only get it to work in a Software project

The timeline feature is a feature that is specific to Jira Software, so there is no timeline feature for Jira Service Management projects at this time.
That being said, Jira Service Management is working on rolling out a board view for service projects. The only action you can take at this time is updating the columns and statuses that appear on the board. I say that to say maybe this is something that could come in the future. But as of now, it is not possible.
