Hi Team,
Is there a possibility of recording test cases in Jira like Bugzilla or we need to import third party applications in Jira to write the test cases.
Thanks.
Currently Jira by itself does not allow for creation of test cases. In such cases, a third-party app is required.
A good choice for your test case creation needs might be a Jira application developed by our team at SolDevelo called “QAlity Plus - Test Management for Jira”.
QAlity Plus allows you to create and manage test cases with remarkable ease. Test cases can be written and executed straight from the issue view, which allows for a quick and easy way to access your test cases.
Each test step can be accompanied by test data, expected result and test attachments.
Another QAlity Plus feature which might be useful for you is the Repository and Test Execution page. Repository allows you to manage, filter and create test cases and place them in custom named folders.
Test execution page manages the status of the executed test case including auto-generated bug description, allows to customise and create statuses (execution status names, colors) and view the lists of previously reported bugs during the past test case executions.
You can try out the app for free for 30 days through our marketplace page.
In case of any questions, I‘m open to any questions you might have! You can contact us via our customer portal or book a demo session with us under this link.
Have a great day,
Tomasz

The Test Case Assistant for Jira streamlines the creation of test cases directly from user stories using customizable templates, saving you valuable time. It allows you to generate test cases with your defined formats, including various text styles, ensuring consistency across all test cases. The app generates test cases with a click of a button and automatically links them to user stories, simplifying test management and tracking.
For more details, you can refer to the documentation or check it out on the marketplace.

This would require a marketplace app.
