Hi,
Does anyone know or have any suggestions for an Out of Office functionality I could incorporate with a round robin automation for a project?
I know there is an application on the marketplace but I've ran into some problems with it and while I'm waiting for them to troubleshoot, is there anyway this could be achieved without an additional application itself?
Thanks.
You could use the on-call schedule in Operations to do this. If you have multiple users on-call at the same time you would need something like tray.io in order to do it, I wrote about it in this article.
Another possible solution would be to use Assets for it. You could then have a request type for OOO that creates an entry in Assets which is then used in your round-robin automation to see if the assignee is OOO or not.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Here is another option. Instead of using Assets you could use a JSM project for it and use that as part of your automation. It would work similar to Assets were your automation would check if there is a OOO request and if so update the assignee.
