Some of my team members are getting a forbidden message when accessing Help Center. How do I fix?

I created a Help Center and I want my team members to access the portal to submit requests. Some of my team members are accessing the link but others are getting a forbidden message.

These team members have access to Jira Service Management and still are unable to see, even though team members with no access to Jira at all can access the help center.

Hello, @cjohnson

What you're describing could be due to two possible factors:

  1. The project's permission settings and the role assigned to the user.
  2. The user in Atlassian's Global Administration does not have the Jira Service Management product with the User (Agent) role.

It all depends on how you invited the user. Within the project, you have the option to add agents directly, which makes it easier to manage who the project's agents are.

On the other hand, the most likely issue is that the user does not have the necessary role under the Browse Projects option.

Example:

I have a user named Gustavo Szemruck in my project, and I assigned him the Service Desk Team role.

When I check the Browse Projects section under Project Permissions, I can see that he has access to view the project.
