Does anyone know if there's a way to allow customers to save a template of a form they submit often?
Context: Currently, for each new hire we have, their manager must submit a form to IT service management containing PII, software access, equipment access, etc. Most of our managers need the same type of access and equipment for all of their employees, but are having to fill out a new form for each new hire with the same information (except PII). Is there a way they can copy/duplicate a previous onboard ticket, then just update the few fields that are different? Or, is there a way to save a template, and import for each new ticket?
Hi Morgan - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
The way we handled that was to create a set of predetermined equipment by either Position or you could create a custom field with drop down values like Package A, Package B, Package C, etc.
Then the Reporter would select a Package or populate the Position field (also a drop down of only Positions in the company). The Reporter provides the PII data and submits.
Then an automation rule updates the issue with the values based on the Package or Position selected.
