Hi there,
I'm trying to build a report that will look at an issue type and their associated request types. For example:
ISSUE TYPE A = 8 total
Can I build something like this?
Hello Jesse
You can do this with a built-in report in VisualScript for Jira. It is a marketplace app, and you can create reports right inside of Jira dashboard gadgets.
We have a built-in grid report. You can select the issue type as the x-axis and the customer request type as the y-axis. Then in the parameters you can pick which issue types you want to visualize.
This will give you a shape per issue (broken down by request type) or an issue count with hyperlinks. That is something you can select in the parameters as well.
If you are using on premise Jira Service Desk, the field name is "Customer Request Type", and if you are using cloud it is called "Request Type". Cloud will not work just yet, as it required a bit more development. We have it ready for our next release though.
Happy to answer any questions you have.

Hi Evan,
is this feature still not available in Cloud? I've tried to configure a grid report as you suggested but I get "No issues match the parameters entered" displayed.
Best,
Anton

am looking for a way to create a dashboard with a filter (open, closed, created > etc) and display by Request type..
The two dimensional dashboard would work but I can't display Request Type..
