Remove Configure Fields Button - Jira Cloud

Hey Everyone, 

Is anyone aware of a way to remove the configure fields button when working in Jira cloud? 

I've tried following the community suggestion given here on both an existing field and a new custom one but it doesn't work (the description just appears as text rather than executing the code):

I also did some googling and saw the suggestion of adding this code snippet to the announcement banner but there's no way to alter the announcement banner on jira cloud:

Also if anyone else is also encountering this nightmarish issue, +1 the crap out of this seemingly ignored ticket to just allow admins to turn off the configure fields button.

There is no way to do this thanks to the new jira experience.

Maybe for those who are using jira server can modify some code but for us cloud users it is impossible.

Thanks for chiming in @Eelke van der Nat. I'm keeping back some very choice language for Atlassian cause this is a major oversight. 

I'll make sure to let you know if there is any traction on any of my tickets.
