Referencing asset field in automation

I'm using the new asset manager in Jira Service Management.  I was setting up automation to create an issue based on an event from the asset object.  What the documentation isn't clear on is how would I reference the asset's fields when creating the new issue.  For example, say I want to use the Asset's name in the issue summary.  Something like {{asset.fieldName}} is what I think the format is.  I don't know the exact syntax to reference the triggering asset.
