Hi simply aiming to create a rule that triggers when an issue from a certain request type is created

Hi @kelechi.erondu ,

please use:

WHEN: Issue created (Trigger = Issue created)

IF: Request Type equals "Your request type name" (Add Issue fields condition)

THEN: ...
