Hi, we wanted to connect our Microsoft 365 Email server to the atlassian system to have our personal mail address as the sender address for jira service management answers.

After setting all DKIM and DNS entries successfully, we still get en error message saying "Domain claim failed for this domain."

The check page https://domain-check.atlassian.com/ says everything should work for our domain.

What can I do?

Hello Angélica.

We have the same problem with a "verified" domain. Is there a bug or a problem with domains provided by Microsoft 365? I see, that the domain part of the atlassian entries is striped by Microsoft when saving the entries.

Thanks

Hello Vanessa,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Thank you for the details. In order to use a custom domain to send notifications, it's also necessary to verify the domain.

I can see here that the domain of your email address was not verified, so please, follow the instructions of the documentation below:

After that, as you already configured the SPF and DKIM records, you should be able to change the project email.

Regards,
Angélica

Can be ignored, it works properly, it needs just a lot of time to be correctly verified. I think, atlassian is not querying the DNS servers assigned to the domain
