So where I am working someoene has created a software project.
Within this project there are issues.
To the right hand side of any issue are pre configured Fields.
Example Assignee
Team Name
Reporter
Customer
The Team Name field is actaully a drop down box.
This Team Name drop down box has about 20 differant iteams in the drop down menu.
The user is asking me to delete one of these enteries as that dashboard has been deleted. He doesn't want anyone assigning this to it.
I have never used Jira before so I am stuck can anyone help?
In the Administration area under Issues then Custom fields find your field and click on the ellipses to the right. Select context option and in that screen you can dit the options. What you typically want to do is disable the option not delete as this preserves the history.
