Emails are not being sent when a task is assigned, please help resolve this issue as we cannot start our project if the emails are not working

Welcome to the community.
Do you mean customer or agent notifications? Can you please clarify what you want to achieve?
Notification is not sent to customer when issue is assigned. Go to project settings -> customer notifications and check the events when emails are sent.
*I also assume that outgoing email is enabled (System -> Outgoing Email).

I am simply assigning tasks to project members internally who need to need to complete a chunk of work. I am not getting copies of the email task that I have assigned either, there seems to be some kind of problem with the server maybe?
