Prevent Automatic Creation of Ticket Based on email address or title

Hi All,

I'm looking to see if it's possible to prevent the creation of a ticket based on the email address domain or title. I have an automation set up to close out tickets based on titles, but we get hundreds of automatic responses which creates unneeded tickets, bogging up the "closed" ticket queue.  

The example is to:

  • prevent email address "" from creating tickets
  • prevent creation of ticket with title "Test title"

It looks like based on this Atlassian case that they are in the process of providing this functionality soon (blocking issue creation from certain email addresses).  I would add yourself as a watcher of this ticket -

In this case, they also mentioned a workaround.

Thanks for letting me know. We have a work around that auto deletes the tickets, it just also increments the ticket number.
