Hi community!
How can I automatically populate the L2S Request field value (1. above ) with the Support Request Type value the user selects in 3. above?

Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you!
Hi @Tom Porto ,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!!
You can not link a field with a different type of field. So, you need to create the Jira field as a select list single type, link it on the form with the L2S Request, and update the section field value.
Generally, we create the fields with the same name and values as it is available on the form.
Thanks @Manoj Gangwar for the quick response!
I was afraid that would be the case. Thanks for confirming!

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Is the form field type of Dropdown considered the same as the Jira field type of Select List (single choice)?
Yes
Once you linked the field after that you need to check the sections again select the field values then it will work

Checking the selections again against the field values was the piece I was missing before. All set now! Thank you @Manoj Gangwar

Hi Tom,
You may link a Forms field with a Jira field, you will see the following option when you click a field on your Forms:
However, unfortunately the system Request Type field is not supported here, as the value of this field would have been chosen in the steps before the customers fill in the forms, either manually or by attaching the Forms to a Request Form.

Thank you @Nadhila Savira
Yes, I think I tried using the system Request Type field (before I knew about mapped fields needing to be the same type thanks to Manoj) and decided it's better I create a customer Jira field. -Thank you!
