Plan to edit Customer notifications

Mario Gran June 26, 2024

Hello,

We are using the Free Plan of Jira Service Management. To edit the customer notifications, is it enough to upgrade to the Standard Plan or do we need the Premium Plan?

Thanks

Hi @Mario Gran

That feature is commonly restricted for any free plan or any evaluation plan.  It has to be that way because this particular feature has been abused in the past by malicious users that attempt to send spam from our services.

You should only expect to be able to edit the customer notification template once you have a paid plan.  Although if you have a paid plan for JSM and still see this, you can then create a support case with us at https://support.atlassian.com/contact and our support team can then lift the restriction of an evaluation if still in place.

I hope this helps.

Andy

We can't. We get the following message. Its in Spanish and says "Templates cannot be edited with a Free plan. Improve your plan". See attachment.Captura de pantalla 2024-06-26 141941.jpg

Hi @Mario Gran , are you not able to edit the notifications in your current free plan? You should be able to do so under project settings > customer notifications and click "edit" on the desired notification event.

@Mario Gran , can you elaborate on exactly what you are editing and how? I am able to edit Customer notifications in my free plan.

I am going to Project settings > Customer notifications on a Company managed JSM project.

Mario Gran August 9, 2024

In JSM, Project settings > Customer notifications.

There you have a list of all the notifications that your support project sends to customers. In each one there is an "Edit" button.

When you click it you get the message I attached in a previous post that says: "Templates cannot be edited with a Free plan. Improve your plan".

Thanks for sharing the details. I am scratching my head as it works for me. One last question - is your project a Company or Team managed project? This is displayed on lower left. Mine is CMP and I have not tried TMP.

Mario Gran August 9, 2024

In ours says: You are in a project managed by the company.

Thanks. Same as me. I am at a loss as to why we are seeing differences here. I will see if we can get a better answer.

Maybe in Spain (Europe) plans work in a different way as they do in USA?
