Order of Status has changed, how can I change it back?

When i click on Status, see screenshot, it usually starts with in progress, now it goes to Done or Cancelled and I have to reopen ticket . can i change it back

@kcomstock Welcome to the Atlassian community

You will need to see what statuses and transitions exist in the workflow.  On the Jira issue you can click the view workflow link under the current status, and it will show you how you can transition the issue and the available statuses.  If you are not seeing a transition that allows you to go from the current status to in progress, then you will have to work with the Jira Admin for a company managed project or the Project admin for a team managed project.
