Hi Atlassian,

We have a Jira service desk and wish to open ArcGIS Pro projects on our desktop, these are  .aprx files. ArcGIS Pro is licenced software on our desktop, the standard 'double-click' of an aprx file will start ArcGIS Pro.

Is there a way to save a link or the actual aprx in Jira and be able launch it from the Jira ticket? Similar to Word and Excel files that open in the browser but open on our desktops instead.

regards

Warren

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Jira runs in a browser, it's not usually a local application (although there are a couple of clients for it).

It's up to the user's desktop or browser to decide what to do with a downloaded attachment file such as an aprx.  You don't tell Jira to load them in your editor, you need to tell your OS or browser to do it!
