Modify ticket number

We are new Jira SMC customers. We noticed that the ticket count starts at 1 and we are up to 16 as we test. Is there a way to reset the ticket count number? Are we able to modify the number if we want to start as 1 or a higher number?

@JT Blanco Welcome to the Atlassian community

There is no way to set the ID to 1 again or to a different number on a project.  Once you are done testing you could always create a new project with all the same settings and then the count would be at 1 again when you go live.

One workaround is to overlay your test issues with content from a CSV file to render it obvious that it is an unused ticket. (Or you could even use this method to load in the first 16 issues to replace the test content.)
See https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/import-data-from-a-csv-file/ for more details of what to put in the CSV file.

Hi @JT Blanco ,

welcome to the Atlassian community!

That operation could be done on the server version (restting the project count on DB side) but not on the cloud version.
