Make a queue private

Alejandra González May 20, 2021

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible for a queue to be private and only certain people can see the tickets of that queue. Right now anyone with access to the project and "service desk team role" can see the content of all queues.

Thank you

Hey @Alejandra González ,

The queue itself you cannot hide. (you'll need an app to do that).

However if you wish to hide the issues inside the queue that you can do using "Issue Level Security" https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-issue-security-schemes/

Otherwise, even if you hide the queue they would still be able to just do a search on a filter and find them that way.

Hi @Dirk Ronsmans

And who will be able to view those hidden issues? which role?

Well not a specific role. In the issue level security scheme you define levels which you set on issues(manual or by automation)

on that scheme you don’t decide who can see what level. (It’s like a categorisation)

keep in mind u can only assign an issue to a single level but a user can be granted access to multiple levels. These levels can also be dynamic through custom fields

Just curious, will this work for team-managed JSM projects?
