I would like the Root Cause field on a Ticket to be a drop down menu of already created options to avoid new option being typed in constantly.

You would need to create a new custom field as indicated by @Arensa Prasta
Remove the current field from the screens that use it and replace it with the newly created field.
In Jira it is not possible to change the way an existing field acts.
Hi @Yassin Farboussi You should create a custum field dropdown with all the values you would like to include.

This isn't a custom field, this is a pre-set field that accepts all inputs. I'm looking to change this to drop down menu with pre-defined inputs.
