List view, main task takes precedence over sub task when using Grouping by assignee

In list view, when grouping by assignee, the sub tasks which are assigned to another assignee will still appear under the assignee for has the main task.

Is it possible to have sub tasks that are assigned to another assignee to appear under their own assignee tasks? A lot of our tasks end up having multiple sub tasks and we'd like team members to easily be able to see whats assigned to each team member but the main task seems to override displaying sub-tasks under the assigned assignee.

Hi @Callum Anderton,

The list view you describe is a feature of Jira Work Management rather than Jira Service Management.

But apart from that, you observation is right: the grouping (by assignee) does indeed work at task level and ignores the assignee at the sub-task level. That seems to be the way it is designed. It is not possible to configure things differently.

If you want to see all tasks by assignee, you can use the Filter settings just next to the group by option and select 1/more assignees there. In this view (without grouping), sub-tasks are displayed as well.

Hope this helps!
