Linking an Asset to Request Type

Hello,

I have JSM and recently installed Atlassian Assets. I am looking for a step-by-step walkthough on how to set up a field within my Request Type that allows people to select an asset of theirs (a laptop for example, that is running poorly).

Thanks.

Hi Ben:

You will need first create custom Jira/JSM custom field(s) to source from your Assets Schema objects, then exposed those custom fields to your specific JSM or Jira Software Application project(s) and its screens.  Finally, expose those fields to your specific Request Type configuration.

Here is a link on how to create the custom field sources from Assets Schema - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/set-up-the-assets-object-field/

Hope this helps.

Best, Joseph Chung Yin
