Jira Two Dimensional Charts - Cannot display resolutiondate / resolved in either X or Y Axis

Michael Green June 23, 2022

Hi,

In Confluence I'm trying to use a Jira Filter to display a table of the last 7 days of Service Management closed tickets..... by date and by Request type (a custom field).

I can get the custom field to be on Y axis but I cannot get the resolutiondate / resolved field on either the X or Y Axis.

Why can't the resolution date be used ?

project = IDYOUS AND STATUS = Resolved AND resolutiondate >= -7d AND "Service Desk Customer Type[Dropdown]" != XYZ ORDER BY KEY ASC

Here is a mock up of what I'm trying to achieve:

Hi @Michael Green ,

If your company uses our Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app, you may try a workaround using its Pivot Table macro and the standard Jira Issues macro.

You'll be able to show issues with dates in a tabular form coming from the Jira Issues macro and aggregate them against different time periods using the Pivot Table macro.

Maybe this will help your case.

Hi Michael:

Unfortunately, currently the gadget only support the following data types fields for the x/y axis -

Group picker
Multi select
User picker
Select list
Version picker

There is an open enhancement request - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-37545.  Please note although this case is for Pie-chart gadget, but it is also for other out the box gadgets (including the gadget you mentioned).

Your only other solution will be to research for 3rd party add-on that provide more enhanced/robust gadgets in the Marketplace for JSM Cloud.

Hope this helps.

Best, Joseph Chung Yin

Hello, same issue and difficulties. Is there any other options to show chart based on field: "date" on our x y axis?

@NORBERTUS WUSANA -

Unfortunately, it is not possible using the out of the box gadget because Date field is not supported currently.

Best, Joseph
