Jira Standard Plan VS Premium Plan

Dear Friends,

I’m currently exploring the Premium plan and assessing its feasibility by understanding why I might need it instead of sticking with the existing Standard package (Cloud). I believe there are three to four key factors that are essential to consider in deciding whether to upgrade to Premium or remain with Standard.

The first factor is the team size (number of users that can be added), followed by storage capacity, and thirdly, automation capabilities.

I have a few questions regarding these three major points, and please feel free to suggest any other considerations I should keep in mind.

Q1) I have a centralized Jira product on the Standard plan, but it indicates that I can only add 50 users per JSM and Confluence. Even on the official pricing page, it mentions that this is a limitation of the Standard plan.

Q2) I checked the storage, and it appears to be sufficient, so this is a positive aspect for the Standard plan.

Q3) The main point of concern is automation. How can I access and analyze the usage statistics for all automation rules?

Additionally, please feel free to suggest any other points I should consider.

Hi @Eitzaz Haider , regarding the 50-user limit, in the screenshot you included (thank you!) it shows you've used 46 out of 50 paid licenses for one product and 48 out of 50 paid licenses for the other product. @Carlos Garcia Navarro is correct that you can have up to 50,000 users (in Jira), but you have to pay for them in tiers. You can have as many customers as you want, which are non-licensed users. So if you need more than 50 licensed users (agents, admins), you'll need to pay for the next tier up (which is probably either 75 or 100 licenses).

Hi @Eitzaz Haider ,

I'd like to share this page which I find very descriptive while describing the differences between Jira Standard vs the Premium plans.

To see the automation usage you can use this.

Hmm... I'm not sure. The standard plan (and premium too) is for up to 50,000 users for Jira. You could contact Atlassian billing here for specific questions about your account related to billing and licensing: https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing#/
