I have been trying to set up the OpsGenie-Jira integration for days and I cannot get it setup the way we want.
What we don't want: We don't want new Jira issues to create OpsGenie alerts.
What we want: We have a LogicMonitor-OpsGenie integration setup that sends server/network alerts to OpsGenie. We want these alerts to create Jira issues for us.
I have read numerous articles and still can't figure it out. So far with everything I've tried new Jira issues are creating OpsGenie alerts, which we don't want and I can't figure out how to stop (except for disabling the OpsGenie integration), and OpsGenie alerts are creating Jira issues at all.
I was able to figure it out, there were several things that needed to be done.
-I unchecked the top box that we discussed above.
-I had to re-create the Jira API token since the first one wasn't working (maybe I copied/pasted incorrectly)
-I unchecked the events in the Jira webhook settings and created a JQL query

Send Alert Updates Back to Jira Service Management
instead of this
For other Opsgenie alerts
Create Jira Service Management Issues for Opsgenie Alerts

I have attached a screenshot of my current settings. So by unchecking the top box, that should disable Jira creating OpsGenie alerts?

The first part of the settings that has this enabled is only part of the integration in Opsgenie to JSM.

In the same page of the screenshot you sent, there's API key / URL setup. That API call
From your Jira Service Management instance, do you have any integration turned on with OpsGenie in Automation for Jira or System > Webhooks enabled?
