Jira App works in tunnel, does not work with forge install

I have an app I've been building that currently is in the issue panel, It has a button that causes an Api call to create a Jira asset object. 

The problem is that while it works exactly as intended with forge tunnel, It doesn't work when using it installed.
The GUI is functional however the asset objects are not being made.

Does the forge tunnel feature have some sort of authentication or something that would allow my backend to be functional there, but not on the install?

My code lacked async and await, problem solved with this implemented.
