Hello!
Is there a way that I can site wide default of the comments box from 'Visual' to 'Text'?
We recently upgraded to 10.3.0, and its defaulted comments boxes to 'Visual' which has caught out a lot of our staff.
Visual doesn't allow spell checking, whereas Text does.
Thanks!
This is strange as Jira has no spell checking, this is performed by the browser in my opinion
Yeah, that's true.
Spell checking used to work in the Visual tab as far as I'm aware, but its been flagged up quite a lot at my place of work since upgrading!
The main con of using the text tab is url's not being highlighted, but that's neither here nor there in my opinion. Would be good to just be able to change the default to Text so it catches less people out.

Best is to contact Atlassian Support on this.
As my knowledge is that this is a personal setting and not configurable on global level. Atlassian might have changed this in version 10 to have the default set on "visual"
