I have 2 simple Asset Object types.
(1) "Users". This has an attribute of Type "User" to create a link of the currentReporter to the Asset User Object. And a Country Text field, to identify the country he is from, e.g. "DE" for Germany.
(2) "Items". This has a textfield called "Name" and a text field called "Country". e.g. "Jira", "DE"
What I want to achieve is, that I only offer "Items" in the Asset select field, that match the country set in the User Object.
I know how to setup the Asset and I know how to setup the Assets objects field.
Question is: how does the "Filter issue scope (AQL)" look like, so that I only see the item s that have the Country set to the Country value of the User?
e.g. the user has "DE" as country, then the "Items" select field in the JSM form should only show items that have the country set to "DE"
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
Bernd
Update on this:
This is currently not possible in Jira. There is a feature request you can vote for:
Add attribute dot notation functionality to Assets objects fields, within the filter issue scope
It's only 2 years in "Gathering interest" ... so... hurry up and vote for it :-)
