Hi everyone, I'm seeking clarification on the limits and counting mechanism for automation in Jira. Specifically, I'd like to know how many automation rules Jira can run concurrently and how these are counted.
1. Is each step within an automation rule counted separately?
2. For instance, if an automation rule involves transitioning a ticket from one support agent to another or moving it between stages, is this counted as a single automation rule, or are each of these actions counted individually?
I'm eager to learn more about how Jira tracks and manages automation rules, as well as any best practices for optimizing their usage. Any insights or guidance on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Steps within the same automation rule don't get counted to your limit. The overall calcuation of the rule is on successful rule execution (it is count as 1).
Please see this posting for automation rule execution information from Atlassian - https://www.atlassian.com/blog/announcements/cloud-automation-packaging-update
