Hi Saltec,

If you're using Jira Cloud, Atlassian offers a Free Plan for small teams, including up to 10 users. Since you have only 5 users, you should be able to continue using Jira for free after the 30-day trial period without any cost, as long as you don't exceed 10 users.

Jira Cloud free plan limitations: 2 GB of total storage, Basic permissions, Limited to 100 global and multi-project rule executions per month, No advanced audit logs, Community support only,  No manual backups or data retention options, No guaranteed SLA or uptime and more.

If you’re happy with these limitations, you won’t need to pay anything once the trial ends, and your account should automatically switch to the free plan.

If you need additional features, like more advanced permissions, higher storage, or premium support, then you'd need to move to a paid plan. However, with just 5 users, you should be able to stay on the free tier without any issues.

Hope this helps.

That is not entirely accurate for all cases.  While there are free plans for cloud, they have differing user limits. For Jira Service Management (JSM) the user limit is only 3 agents.  You can also see this noted in https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/service-management/pricing

If you were using Jira instead, then yes there is a 10 user limit on a free plan.

In order to switch to a free plan, if you are using JSM, you would need to reduce the user count to no more than 3, and then you can downgrade.  When the trial expires, the product should expect to be deactivated for a period of time.  Once that time has lapsed, if no other subscription is renewed, the site data could be deleted.  You could in theory renew to a free plan, but only if you are under the user limit for that particular product.

Please also be aware, if you go to a free plan for Jira Cloud, these free plans have a 120 inactivity limit.  If you don't use the product for 120 days, the product and the data in it will be deleted immediately.
