Hi All,
I hope you're doing well. I'm encountering a perplexing issue while setting up a new project and configuring quick filters for Epics. Previously, when I duplicated the default board and customized it for a new project, the Epics quick filter would automatically appear. However, when I attempted the same process for a project I created yesterday, the quick filter for Epics did not show up.
I've attached screenshots to illustrate the difference:
Previous successful setup with Epics quick filter
Current unsuccessful setup without Epics quick filter
I've taken several steps to troubleshoot the issue, including deleting and recreating the project. Despite my efforts, I haven't been able to resolve the problem. I even tried following a guide closely instead of relying on memory, but still no luck.
Could you please lend a hand in resolving this issue? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance.
Warm regards,
Hi @Ali Nemer , I believe the first project "KBT" is a software project and the second is a business (JWM) project. Assuming I am correct, JWM projects do not have the Epic filter drop-down.
I do not see this option when I create the project, first option is " Kanban or Top-level planning" , the second option is "Team-managed " and "Company-managed".
both project are Kanban and Company-managed, both project created by me using the same guide.
Thanks

I do know that JWM is going to combine with JSW and as such what you see might differ today than what you saw yesterday or last week. In any event, here is what I currently see in my instance, but your mileage may vary. in any event, the explanation I provided above is why he did not see the epic quick filter. It is fundamentally a different board with different options. given that they are going to combine these two applications. I am not sure what things will ultimately look like once that amalgamation has completed. I do believe that there will still be business projects, a.k.a. JWM, which will appear different than software projects.

Hi @Jack Brickey
yes, I do have those options on the left side, however, all the 100+ projects that I created before were Kanban and Company-managed, nothing was changing and there is no one else in my team who can update the default board or the default project.
so my only gusss is an update in Jira miss this up
Thanks

Based on your reply to @Jack Brickey suggestion, did you enabled the "Backlog view" for your board in the 2nd project?
The EPIC panel in the filter section will only be displayed if you have this Enhance my board and backlog option available in the Jira instance you are using.
You can take a look at this following reference KB link on the enhancement that Atlassian has provided on board/backlog enhancements -

Hope this helps.
